Wishful Wednesday: #1

Every girl has a list of things they want to expand their closet, am i right? And most of the time, money is a bit of an issue when it comes to splurging for the things we want.

Here are some of things i've been eyeing for awhile now, it's just that i haven't found the right item yet (or money is an issue) It has be feel right before buying, i'm a bit picky when it comes to my clothes, i want them to look a certain way.

1.) Chunky Necklace - I think it makes ANY outfit look a tad bit chic-er and more elegant, especially if you like wearing 'simple' pieces, this definitely spices it up!

2.) Wedged Heels - I've been looking for the perfect pair for awhile now, and it is pretty difficult, cause i want something that i can survive walking in (That's nearly impossible, i know!)

3.) High-Low skirts - It is a MUST-HAVE for spring. I mean, i love it. It's flowy and fun! I found a few that caught my eye!

4.) Naked Palette 2 - This is already on my birthday wish list! It is the PERFECT palette! If you have it already, tell me how it is? Would love a personal review!

5.) Red Jeans - I think it's time that i put down my shorts, and find myself pants that'll suit the clothes i have, and i tried on a pair of red jeans in MNG the other, and i just knew that THAT was the colour i wanted. Unfortunately, i don't (can't) wear SKINNY jeans, so i'm looking for straight or boot cut versions!

Music Monday : Weekend Tunes

When i'm into a song, i tend to play it constantly until i find a new one, it's just a habit. So currently, these are the songs that i have on repeat.

1.) Quelqu'un ma dit - Carla Bruni  -- Perfect for sunday afternoons with coffee, a good book, or some internet surfing. It calms me down when things get a lil' hectic. In fact, her entire discography (two albums only) is pretty good!

2.) Laserlight - Jessie J (ft. David Guetta) -- It's a feel good song, in fact, every Jessie J is a feel good song, i've been a fan since i first saw her on youtube thanks to my friend. I'm still pinching myself that i saw her live. She is just amazing.

3.) We Are Young - Fun. (feat. Janelle MonĂ¡e) -- This has been on repeat for the past 2 weeks, it's just one of those songs you can't get enough of.

4.) Shadow Days - John Mayer -- If you already know me, i'm a huge John Mayer fan, so his songs are on repeat nearly everyday!

I love finding new songs too, it's like finding treasure!
TELL ME, WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TOO?
WHAT HAVE YOU GOT ON REPLAY?

I just came across this new Tiffany&Co ad, and i think it is absolutely chic!
Let the video speak for itself!

If you want to check out more, go over to : From Me To You! She has the most interesting and beautiful content! I love it, and i think you will too!

Thursday Thoughts.

Is it just me, or is this week passing by pretty damn slow? Here i am thinking it's Friday, but noooo.. i'm a day ahead in my head. Well, since i have some free time to spare before work ends, i thought why not shoot some bullets. So here are some of my thoughts - my mind is confusing, so the thoughts might range.

  • A little down that John Mayers album is country-ish, but i still love him.
  • I think i've become addicted to white wine, i crave it constantly.
  • Day TWO on my healthy eating plan. Had a salad two days in a row, but today i slipped for some fried chicken, but no regrets.
  • I wish my hair wasn't a lion mane.
  • What i plan to watch this weekend: The Artist, Hugo, One for the Money, Dirty Dancing.
  • If you haven't seen KONY 2012 yet, watch the video below. MAKE KONY FAMOUS.
  • I think i dreamt about KONY before, the whole thing is a deja vu.
  • I miss Penang. The sun, the ocean, and my bed.
  • Sleeping on the floor is pretty comfy though.
  • I want to find red nail polish. The bright red kind.
  • The boyfriend was suppose to come down this weekend, but plans changed. HMPH.
  • I am exhausted.
  • On the bright side, can't wait to go home and watch Are You There, Chelsea and OTH! (yes, i am such a TV junkie, sue me.)
  • Adam Levine is coming up with a new fragrance for men and women, i hope it smells good cause i'll get it.

So, that's all i've got right now. I'm planning to theme each day so i blog more, so stop by tomorrow for FRIDAY FINDS!

Over and out.

MAKE KONY FAMOUS

By now i'm sure everyone has seen this. It's gone viral. But if you haven't then stop what your doing and WATCH. Yeah, 20 over minutes... it's long. Thats what i thought when i first saw the video posted up on my feeds, then i thought to myself, why not give it a shot. So i watched it... twice.

The next time you are having a bad day, and decide to make a face and curse on life, think about whats really happening around you. You have food to eat, shelter, a home, family and love... there are people who suffer from REAL anger and pain.. the kind that can not to taken away so easily.

This video not only opens your eyes, but it sheds this different kind of light onto our society. This video has made a difference... now, are you going to help move that difference into the right direction?

Open your eyes
STOP KONY.
MAKE KONY FAMOUS.
 CAPTURE HIM.
2012 is the time!

Let's talk Hunger Games!

About TWO weeks til the movie is out, and i am thrilled! I think anyone who has read the books are probably on the edge of their seats waiting for this movie to be released!

THE HUNGER GAMES

Personally, I never really understood reading books that were imaginative. Probably because of my lack of imagination, but when i heard about this trilogy, i though it was time i gave it a chance, and i am so glad that i did. It is by far the best book i have read, giving you heart thumping moment, tears of sorrow, anger and all emotions possible.

I read all three books in the span of 3 weeks, the fast i have EVER read books. Note that i am the SLOWEST reader ever. I mean, i am still on the first chapter of Eat, Pray, Love... and i've been stuck there for months really. (I saw the movie already, so maybe that's why)

MINI REVIEW: I love that Suzanne Collins brings forth this emotion that is mixed with anger and love. Focusing on main characters being Katniss Everdeen who is a brave-hearted person, and Peeta who is a boy full of love. Both from the same district, and having to kill each other eventually, the suspense that is held in this book is AMAZING. I've never had to read so fast and through the night just to find out how it turns out!

Personally though, i think the first book, The Hunger Games is the best. Where as Catching Fire and Mockingjay keeps you feeling a little empty. I was a little upset with the ending of the Mockingjay. It just wasn't right. But that is just mean, i'm sure others felt differently.

I saw the trailer for the movie before i read the book, and i thought it was oh-kay. But, once you read the book, and watch the trailer all over, you see a different light! It is amazing how it feels.

The movie stars Jennifer Lawrence (who is freakin' amazing and gorgeous), Josh Hutchers ,Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth and many other amazing young starletes!

I really suggest ever to read the book (at least the first one) before they hit the cinemas to catch it! It WILL be worth your time!

If you haven't already.... Watch the trailer HERE!

WINNING MEANS FAME AND FORTUNE.
LOSING MEANS CERTAIN DEATH.
THE HUNGER GAMES HAVE BEGUN...

Are you ready for The Hunger Games?! I AM!
TEAM PEETA ALL THE WAY BABEEEH!

tell me what team your rooting for!
