Evanescence LIVE in KL!

Two concerts in two weeks! I do love the media line! Sam let me tag along to this concert aswell, but to be honest, we did not know more the THREE songs by Evanescence. Pathetic i know.
But we acted cool through out the concert, and sang along to the songs we knew. Though, the entire concert was literally ONE HOUR ONLY... it was still enjoyable. It was in a small bar/club sorta, so it was cozy.

BUT, i have never seen so many grandmothers/grandfathers at a concert... especially a head banging concert like this. Not to mention, they were head banging more then anyone!

Unlike the Avril concert, we didn't get to go up to VIP, so we had to tip toe from the back.. (i hate being so short) But since it was a small space, everyone got to see Amy Lee do her thing!

The one person who caught my attention the most was the drummer, Will Hunt. HE IS AN AMAZING DRUMMER.. not to mention, the way he head bangs for every song.. i'd probably have a concussion if i did what he did.

Unfortunately, i only had my dad's Iphone. Cause cameras are restricted (so they said, but i saw loads of cameras out!) But here are some photos anyways! (the clear ones are from the press releases!)

taken with the iphone!

Avril Lavigne LIVE in KL!

I was lucky to have the chance to watch Avril Lavigne LIVE at the Stadium Merdeka on the 18th of February! It was her last concert from the Black Star Tour!
And, it was also the first time experiencing a concert with a Media Pass. (THANKS SAM FOR LETTING ME TAG ALONG! - Perks of interning in a media company!)

I was a little skeptical over enjoying her perform, being that i've kinda out grown her music, but none the less i enjoyed myself AND thankfully knew the songs she sang, since she sang most of her hits! For a tiny person, Avril really has one hell-ah a voice to belt out!

Oscar Fever!

The Oscars was early this morning (for the people here in Asia), i have yet to watch the show itself, but the first thing i did this morning was skim through all the gowns worn by the beautiful stars!

There were so many good dresses this year, but there were a few off points.
And my picks for best dressed are....

Gwyneth Paltrow is a vision in white wearing this  elegant Tom Ford gown and cape, she is looking so classy and so elegant! Pfft, who said capes were just for super heroes! Gwyneth proves that wrong!

Rooney Mara  is wearing a beautiful Givenchy Haute Couture gown! And get this, APPARENTLY she only picked the dress out the night before! I love how the dress just wings out.

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen! I think we can all agree that this was one of the best dresses of the night! This dress was custom made AND hand beaded! Imagine all the work! And it was worth it cause Jessica is looking amazing.. like a goddess!

Giuliana Rancic is one hell-ah gorgeous in this Basil Soda gown! It's the best dress i've ever seen on her so far! I love the shoulder patterns, the detail, and the chiffon mermaid finish!

And for my WORST DRESSED PICKS;

Okay, i wouldn't say these dress were horrible, but they were just not so appealing.
Here goes... *drum roll*

Anna Farris in this glittery long sleeved black dress, i was just not feeling it. As much as i love her, this wasn't the right dress for her. It didn't hug her in the right places, nor did it suit her age. Maybe i'm just not diggin' the hair either...?

Cameron Diaz looks like half her dress went through the shredder by accident! Though for her age, she is lookin' pretty damn good, and fit as hell!

Angelina Jolie, i know a LOT of people would disagree with me, but i think this dress is so boring. I mean, every single time she and Brad Pitt are on the red carpet, they look EXACTLY the same. Black dress, black suit... black black. Shen needs more colour. And, the slit just makes her stand in the most awkward position.

Tell me what were your picks for the best and worst dressed of the night!

New York Fashion Week Top Five Picks!

I know it's a little out dated, but i'm using this weekend to catch up! Having to cover fashion week at work, it's killing me not to talk about it here so without further a-do, here are my TOP 5 picks from NEW YORK FASHION WEEK Spring/Summer- Resort 12!

Marchesa

Isn't this just pure and utter amazement? This is sheer elegance. Marchesa never fails to wow us, ever. The detail, the flow, the colour... it's just mind-blowing beauty! There are no words to really describe this collection, it's just... Marchesa.

 Jenny Packham

Jenny Packham is a name we often hear on the red carpet, and i understand why! Her collections are absolutely stunning! And this season, Nude shades is really something that is coming through!

Oscar De La Renta
I don't know about you, but detail always catches my eye... and Oscar De La Rente, is amazing when it comes to detail! Plus, adding shimmering fabrics to the collection... LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Victoria Beckham
This spice girl KNOWS her fashion! I love how structured and edgey this collection is. It is so elegant! What is NOT to love about this!

DKNY

This is a collection i would definately wear myself, the only thing stopping me is the price tag. Isn't that an issue for everything. Urg. I walk passed the DKNY store in The Gardens nearly everday, and seeing this collection in the window, it's torture. ONE DAY! hehe

(i do not own any of the photos here!)

Next up, London Fashion Week favorties! I just cant get enough of the new collections! Who were you favorite picks? TELL ME! ;)

The Beauty Department: Your Daily Dose of Pretty. - A NEW TWIST

The Beauty Department: Your Daily Dose of Pretty. - A NEW TWIST

This so pretty, i love it! When i can finally figure out how to curl my hair with a curling iron, i'll do this. But, at this point, it might take another century to figure that damn iron out!

Happy Valentines Day!

Sam was lucky to get this pretty and anonymous bouquet!

Just a quick post to wish you all a happy (belated) valentines day!
Hope you all had your share of spreading the loooove!

Though, this year, i was apart from the boyfriend, it didn't matter because Valentines day isn't just a day for couples, it's a day for everyone! So i spent mine having a good lunch with my editor/boss, and family in the evening! Plus, if your in a relationship, everyday should be like valentines day, at least thats how it feels for me!

So single, in love, or complicated, this is a day to enjoy company from every side and angle!

More updates coming this weekend, and FASHION related ones this time!

I bet you've been wondering.

It's been about two weeks now since i started my internship at.... *drumroll* MSN LIFE & STYLE.
I didn't see it coming, but so far, i love it. Getting to write articles on fashion, and celebrities in fashion, it's something that interests me... alot.

And it has been a very interesting experience. Meeting new people, and watching new concepts.
I never took journalism so seriously, until now. I have come to a realization that my writing isn't up to par. I mean, i can't seem to have that creative mind to write. I give props to all entertainment and fashion sites who write the most interesting articles about the simplest things. Just the choice of words used is something that fascinates me. All those puns really intrigue me.

That is why, i have made it a point to study these sites and the way editors and writers choose their words. I really hope i find a way to improve within the next few months.

I'm putting all fears aside, and jumping in the pond. Why not anyways! Right?!

Aside from that, being in this big city has been very interesting. Different. I can't wait for more!

Here's a question to all the readers out there: What makes you want indulge in reading something? What kind of writing gets you intrigued?
